And we had some on this board claiming we had good practices. The announcer said Fletcher wasn't surprised by the Louisville loss because the team had a bad week of practice.
A bad week of practice before an important conference game?
That's a huge indictment of the coaching staff.
And the players. It seems Miami usually struggles after the bye week. Whole team came out flatThe announcer said Fletcher wasn't surprised by the Louisville loss because the team had a bad week of practice.

Louisville was coming off a bye week, too.
This is dog weeks of the season. Bored tired and getting over it.This is why people say it’s so hard to go undefeated and almost nobody does it. It’s a long season. Nobody is razor sharp all year. It’s basically a war of attrition, just be at your best as much as you can and hang on for dear life when you aren’t.
Wisconsin is ******* pathetic and Oregon slept through their game tonight.
What’s done is done last week. Flush it. Don’t let it happen again or define you. Make it a “one off”. But go talk to any coach who has ever coached the sport at basically any level. They’ll tell you there are highs and lows through a season. I’m not surprised at all, we played our 3 biggest rivals in the first month of the season with weird bye weeks mixed in. No excuses, ever. Play like a champion. But it’s not an indictment on anything. Just figure out a way to win next week and come home for 2 bad football teams. Use the bad week as motivation to not let it happen again.
Yall never factor in that these are not professional athletes lol. We probably don’t have great practices in every win either
Not disagreeing with anything you said but it really was stunning how flat we came out again. This is why people say it’s so hard to go undefeated and almost nobody does it. It’s a long season. The way we started the 2nd half is the way I expected the team to have responded during the first half.
Against a better team, we are likely down 14 points again.
It seemed like the team came out super tight again.
That's an indictment of the players. There's only so much any coach can do if guys aren't focused. This is how I can tell a lot of our "Fans" never played organized sports. Coaches will straight up tell you "If you don't button up at practice, you will lose this week" and guys will STILL find a way to not take it seriously. That's why having a strong player leadership structure is important. Back in the Ed Reed era, if you weren't handling your business, things would be taken care of after practice. The coaches only deal with these guys at most 25 hours per week. The locker room needs to police itself. The announcer said Fletcher wasn't surprised by the Louisville loss because the team had a bad week of practice.

Exactly. That's why 1-0 is a mantra that resonates. I don't give a F how they do it, just find a way to win. They almost found a way to beat Louisville, despite Beck completely imploding. That's the difference between the elite teams and other contenders. The elite steal those games, and Miami was unable to steal a close one. That said, if this team can keep winning, we won't remember Louisville. And they lost the week before to a team who came a literal inch away from getting beat today by UNC, who is arguably the very worst P4 team in America. How were they that week in practice?
It’s a long season. There are 5 teams out of 136 who haven’t lost yet. Just win. We did tonight. We’re gonna lace em up next week in Dallas. Do it again.
so what? Brohm spent two weeks scheming up plays. He went into it as if it were the CFP. Personally,, I put more of the blame on the coaches for being ill prepared for Louisville. The thing I don't understand is why they would pick the Lville game to be unprepared. They know how Brohm schemes up his offense. It was inexcusable.Louisville was coming off a bye week, too.
The way Alabama came back to beat South Carolina at the end is a good example of what you're talking about.Exactly. That's why 1-0 is a mantra that resonates.
