SIAP, there's a lot flying around on here...

but it seemed like every time I looked up there was a different group in there. Might be Fentress, or Busy, or Crawford, or Carter at safety. Corner could be Elder, Artie, Crawford, Howard...****, I didn't even notice Gunter until later in the game (he may have been in and I just missed him).

Did we sub a bunch? More than normal (for CFB in general)?

Maybe it had to do with it being the first game and we could still be figuring out our best groups, but it seems like other teams have "starters" or at least the main guys who play most of the snaps unless (1) they need a short breather or get injured, or (2) it's blowout time and subs are in. Especially in the secondary and LB (big daddies up front sometimes need a blow more often, especially early season).

Seems like we'd be better off having the main guys out there to get in a rhythm. Pick the best of the bunch and let them play.

Am I crazy?

Under Golden and D'O we always seem to sub a lot. At S we were rotating 4 guys which I'm not a fan of.

I think the starting CBs were Burns and Gunter. Howard for some reason didn't play a whole lot.

Which I find very idiotic.

Start Deon and Carter at safety. Have Dallas spell them.

Then have Tracy and Gunter starting. Have Artie, Corn and Antonio spell them.

Tired of this rotation ****. ***** us up IMO.

The problem that I see is at a lot of positions we have a bunch of guys that are close together in skill, and we cant seem to settle on one package. Im not a huge fan of all those different packages either. On the DL yes, we need rotation, guys get gassed hard, but at DB, lets stick with some starters and then occasionally rest them or bring in a 3rd in a nickel package or extra DB set. IMO all these different packages are probably a contributing factor to the confusion that we have had on defense over the last few years.
