If you have good athletes and a good QB, it's really an easy scheme to beat. Even Louisville this year tore up the D. It's effective against slow teams so that's good for 3-4 wins in the ACC and then a couple G5 cupcakes. Against mid tier opponents, the games are just a question of whether the O can put up enough points to overcome terrible defensive performances. Against good opponents the D scheme doesn't stand a chance

I dont think people really remember how much rushing yards Louisville had on a simple stretch running play. UNC didnt even had to run a stretch....the counter had this whole defense topsy turvy. **** since Manny Diaz has been here ive stated that schematically and alignment we are outflanked pre snap ALOT. I played ol in college and could see big issues on how our defense aligns imaging an competent oc. His scheme is based on tfl's and YOU yourself messing up. We never get holding calls so throw that out the window...and positive yards on first downs is a killer to this d.

UNC could have thrown the ball 10 times this game and won by 3 scores..thats shameful and thats coaching and a huge problem you have schematically on your defense that they are painfully aware of. Changes to the defensive staff needs to be made if we want to actually get to the next level or just sede the coastal to UNC because who ever there oc is gonna own us. Also Mack Brown is BobbyBowden he aint coaching sh*t so dont mention him.

UNC didn’t even come close to punting. That’s what I’m shocked at.

UNC didn’t punt one time, and only missed scoring on two possessions (the missed FG , and one play w/ 10 secs before halftime). We could’ve had 70 put on us. FML .

I’m not sure if it was just ABC continuing to harp on how Manny put Brown in the hot seat w/ his defense, but it did feel personal. Like, Brown was intent to run the ball down our throats. Kept his starters in!! I mean, I don’t know; that was tough to watch.
