Did anybody think

Yes, Alexander sucks.. Burns was a much better corner last season and if they reversed teams Alexander would be lucky to get drafted in the 4th.

i was saying it after the combine. Not only did he measure smaller than expected, but he interviewed horribly with teams and really turned them off. Now top all that off that no Cb ever has been drafted without a INT then you see people fall. Artie definitely has a lot of technique problems but at least he made plays on the ball and flashed his potential. I'm more surprised about Vonn Bell still being on the board and now the Steelers took Sean Davis over him.

i did.

Alexander is 5'10 with no picks brah....

Artie always was better than him..add to it he's 6'1

thats true you did say it...I'm actually surprised Kendall Fuller didn't go before him

Burns will produce in the league. The owners and coaches know how atrocious our previous tags have been. They are aware of how many productive players we put in the league, productive players that excel under REAL coaching.

Now, with Richt at the helm, I expect MORE 1st rounders and our players to get their respective due.

this. 100%

I had no clue who would go first. But I'm happy for Artie, should be great with a little added weight and solid coaching.

Burns showed out under the worst DC in the history of our program.

Not surprised.

Yes

Artie has more upside then Alexander. Its why Pitt, AZ and Carolina were high on AB compared to Alexander.

As A Steelers fan, I wanted Burns over Alexander and Apple.

i told people on here that alexander may fall in the draft but i was assured that he wouldn't. lacks prototypical size and didn't have a single career int.

height speed and cant tackle and ****tty coaching so his peak is no where to be seen yet so yes and he had much more INTS than him as well

Burns got into the 1st round without coaching. Imagine how good he will be after receiving coaching from Tomlin.

Mackensie Alexander is the best CB in this draft. Takes WR's out of the game like I've never seen from the others. He'll make at least 2 pro bowls if he stays healthy.

cyrus jones just became a patriot...thats gonna be fun

What is your opinion of Cyrus Jones? What kind of NFL prospect is he? I lost track of him after his recruitment.
FrancisSaywer he's going to be their nickel back and even though he played boundary in college a lot of people are hesitant about playing him there because of how small he is even though he held his own vs. Laqoun TreadWell and even though he's small, he's strong and built well, He knows how to make the sideline his friend with a great understanding of field leverage, he's an aggressive corner who is going to challenge throws and intercept the balls that should be picked off. He's not a good run defender when matched up in press and lacks awareness in the run game but he's aggressive in run support and will tackle willingly , if you watch his tape you'll see that he lets receivers get open on top of routes and then doesn't have the quickness to gain ground. He's inconsistent at trying to find the ball in man and he doesn't read WR's well which is weird specifically because he's a former WR and you would think that would be a strength. He's well coached and technically sound which is what Bill looks for but 2nd round is a little too rich for my blood, I guess they thought he wouldn't had been at their picks in the 3rd
