This quote to me from Manny Diaz on the Joe Rose show this morning shows me that Manny knows that Jarren should’ve been the starting QB the entire time. I feel like he didn’t agree with the philosophy Richt had that HE decided who should lead the team to victory.

Not a fan of the hire, but I like that he already is establishing that what happened at QB this year wouldn’t have happened under his watch.

“We need to find somebody that the locker room feels like can lead us to victory

Seems like more of a general statement than directed at Jarren, individually. He also talked about transfers/grad transfers at the spot as well.

That locker room was pretty dopey. We were told they wanted Perry. They were wrong. Sounds like to me a grad transfer with pelts on the wall is a real option. Jalen Hurts would bring credibility to the position.

I don't know if that quote has anything to do with Jarren Williams or not, but I can say two things about our QB situation:

1. The players need to be led, as they rarely make good decisions on what's good for them
2. Jarren Williams not playing meaningful snaps in 2018 will go down as one of the most bizarre decisions in a long time

Sounds like all 4 of the QBs were numpties that possibly lack the goods. Jarrucius has the body of a 52 year old father of three 8 year olds. N'kosivius has the brain of one of the 8 year olds. And Cadius is the kid next door constantly found *********ing behind the tool shed.

He coached against them daily in practice. I'm sure he knows who has the goods to run his show.

Super bizarre unless there is something we don’t know.

Jesus, what a mess the QBs and their coaches were last year.

The mere fact you give perry the brain of an 8yr old tells me all I need to know about you as a poster. You obviously think very very highly of perry. Everyone else can clearly see he is a 4yr old trapped in a adult body. Ridiculous

I just really don't get it. And, I accept maybe something really weird happened behind the scenes. But, assuming it didn't, maybe Jarren Williams is a terrible QB. Maybe he's not. We have no real idea because we didn't play him to save him for, wait, to give others a chance for, wait, I don't know why we didn't see him at all. If you watched Williams in Spring, there's an argument he was the best QB on field. I think that at least earns you a couple series to get a look in the midst of a disastrous season, no? Oh well.

Who the fūck knows.

I’ll tell you one thing, I gave up paying attention to Greentree All-Americans, or reports from there by take-my-word-for-it insiders. How often do they pan out?

Plenty of people see some of the practices, it doesn’t mean they actually know what they are looking at. I could watch Jarren complete ten straight outs...it doesn’t mean shlt with respect to if he’s keeping up in other aspects.

It seems like Jarren playing, at least some, would’ve been a no brainer, but I’m basing that on very limited information. So it’s not a solid opinion.

At the end of the day, only results count. And the results were horrific.

Here is how I took his comments,

“We’ve got some guys on campus who have been young, who have been inconsistent and certainly, like I mentioned with everybody else, I think this is their time now to turn a new page and decide whether they’re capable of being the starting quarterback at the University of Miami..."

There are athletes on this roster who haven't yet, and maybe never will, get their act together on or off the field. Perhaps it's time they accept bench status or seek greener pastures elsewhere.

"... But at the same time, we have to create competition because competition is the best coach there is. Whether that’s exploring a grad transfer or whatever it is, we’ve got to get the quarterback position up and running and we will look anywhere we can, whether it’s on campus or off campus and find the answers for that.”

If someone on our current roster wants to get their act together and perform as we need, then sure he can play. If not, I'll bring in a slinger who can. I don't care who or how, but this QB freak show is coming to and end.
