Sports Talk radio to me is like sitting back relaxing and having a bit of fun with your buddies at a bar. That was the context of the quote and it was an off the cuff honest reply in response to a question.
I don't think that should be considered "shooting off your mouth". I could understand if maybe he said it at a presser or something like that but even then I wouldn't have a problem with it. Especially since it is factual.
