It is true Richt wanted a huge buyout and the amount had to be negotiated, by guess who?

BTW - I still think Fake James should be fired.

Blake James hired the biggest name coach in 15 years here and then had to balls to fire him 3 years later. You got to at least give him 1 more coaching cycle all things considered. (IPF, new facilities, etc)

Blake James had nothing to do with this, he had to do with giving him a contract extension in year 2 that put us in a terrible position with the buyout. That alone is a fire-able offense

Probably every AD in the country would've handed out an extension after last season. Turnover Chain, IPF push, 10 win streak. It's business. Besides does anyone actually know the details of the contract....doubt it...UM never discloses them. There could be a ton of outs built in.
