Defensive Line rankings under Manny Diaz led defenses

Those LA Tech numbers though other than the power success rate!! haha pretty impressive. Another good comparison is Miss st. in 2014 before Collins bolted to the Gators. Collins had more talent on that defense than Manny did. Pretty impressive, not ELITE, but tolerable compared to the last staff.

No question. That website is sort of the KenPom of college football. Very detailed and worthwhile.

Diaz's DLs have a lot of success statistically. With Coach Kool it should only improve the numbers.

I can't wait until year 3 and 4 under this staff. Fully loaded with speed everywhere!

1 trait of Diaz's defenses that I found sticks out in the numbers is that he gives up a lot of 10+ play drives. In fact his teams ('10-'15) are always ranked in the 100's in this one particular category. They could be top 20 and top 15 in every other category, but the whille be in the 100's in this one.

FootballOutsiders tracks this as...
DMe: Methodical Drive Rate: the percentage of opponent drives that last at least 10 plays

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2015 FEI COLLEGE FOOTBALL RATINGS, DEFENSE

It's an aggressive bend don't break it seems.
