Even though we couldn't tackle for crap there was a couple of moments that stood out. One was when AQM, Norton, Jenkins, Thomas were slanting creating some nice pressure. Also when they blitzed up the middle created even more pressure. It seemed to work but than seen the patty cake and blitz from the outside with the safety and cb back to old ways. Why do these coaches always insist on blitzing from the outside takes for ever for them to reach the qb

they held when they needed too

Kaaya did not get it done...

are you being ******* serious right now? BC held them to 217 total yards, Wake held them to 329 total yards, and we allowed them to go for a whopping 539 total yards. We didn't hold them when we needed to at all actually. The drive that FSU scored their last TD on was exhibit A to prove your statement wrong. We needed a stop, and Golden **** the bed again.

Repeat this until you are blue in the face, or more preferably, dead:

WE GAVE UP OVER 500 YARDS TO FSU.

For the love of god we have the dumbest fan base on earth, and it's not even close. The florida school system really IS that bad.

FSU is starting to open the offense up some. If u watched the BC game. They were bout as bland as u can be. Seems like Fisher is starting to put in a few more plays with Golson maybe grasping more of the offense now. So saying our defense did not perform as well as BC, that is correct, but there is also a reason for it besides always just blaming coaches.

LOL this has to be a trollololololol post but I'll bite anyway...

If by "held when they needed to" you actually meant "gave up the go-ahead touchdown on the ensuing drive after taking the lead by allowing Dalvin Cook and Golson to run through us like a hot knife through butter" then yeah they held when they needed to.

There was a brief second half stretch in which we were energized and actually attacked. It was so bizarre I had to double take to make sure I was watching the correct game.

Muhammad should be unleashed on one side and Thomas on the other. Muhammad is the correct weight and frame for that type of thing on the collegiate level. Thomas, on the other hand, has bulked up so much he's lost some of the special disruptiveness.

The defensive tackles simply aren't good enough. Norton made a few plays but he should be your third best guy, not someone who is touted as a savior. That position continues to regulate the defense.

**** shame that Thomas's fingertips barely missed the 3rd and 8 pass when we led 24-23 and were energized and confident. That had the feel of a game changing play, and turned out to be. I had no belief that Kaaya would dent the scoreboard again. He is a frontrunner type who managed to play better from behind than ever before, but you have to default to established trends and not project a reversal or mending.

Florida State indeed held as a block on that final touchdown run from Dalvin Cook. Entire right side of their line. Reminded me of Georgia's line on the winning touchdown against Texas in the 1983 season Cotton Bowl, 10-9. I have never cried about our officiating fate after that non-call. Minus that run and incredibly fortunate Bulldog victory our game against Nebraska a few hours later in the Orange Bowl would not have been for the national title, not on our end, anyway. Texas was undefeated and would have inherited the title via our win over the Cornhuskers.
