If he likes to be in a frog stance and play patty cake with Oline men then he has found the right place.

"I know Bama has a real fanbase, nicer stadium/facilities, better conference.. but we have a WEfense."

Sign him up.

Wasn't that the kid who flashed all that money after he signed with Bama? I guess all his troubles aren't over after all. No thanks.

He just changed his Twitter handle to @Wee_Liner . El Foldo must be working his magic! Closing like a muhfugging beast!

Bama does not use that frog stance ****. Every 3-4 team doesnt do the same thing.

Stanford, usc, fsu, uga etc all use the 3-4 and don't use that frog ****.

And bama plays the 4-3 and nickel packages 85% of the time so they rarely 2gap.

if this guy was let go from bama, he must of done some crazy stuff. wasn't he involved in the assault of another student who they robbed and then he was temporarily kicked out of school?

Bama Dline 2 Gaps on ALMOST EVERY PLAY, now their philosophy for gap control execution is different than Miami's, Bama teaches their dlinemen to push the LOS back 2-3 yds as they are engaging the oline. Where as Miami teaches the dline to engage then read (this is why it looks like we are catching blocks rather than attacking them) to find the ball carrier an if you give a a yard or two it is still considered a positive outcome.

So this is why it appears to the untrained eye that Bama is not running a two gap defense and also running a 4-3 base when their defense is actually 3-4 based.

Go Canes

He did have a Miami offer and also took an official Visit to Miami, so I could see Miami being a logical destination for him given the desperate at DT moving forward and he Liner wants to stay in the south being that he is from Alabama, UM is pretty much his only major option.

Dee Liner signs with Alabama over Miami: Yes, his name is Dee Liner
Defensive tackle Dee Liner, out of Muscle Shoals, Ala., has signed his letter of intent to play for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Liner had a long recruitment process, delaying the announcement of his decision until signing day. He was originally committed to in-state rival Auburn, but eliminated the Tigers from his list when they fired head coach Gene Chizik.

"I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I got to know during the recruiting process," he said on ESPNU. "I want to compete for championships every year."

Alabama became the leader soon after for Liner, with Miami also garnering interest. Georgia hosted the tackle on a visit the last weekend before signing day, but it was tough to draw the Alabamian away from his home state.

Liner played on the edge for the most part in high school, but will step inside for Alabama. In doing so, he'll go from having average quickness for a defensive end to excellent quickness for a tackle. He has a nice burst up the field, which will allow him to get into the backfield and disrupt plays. His speed will allow him to serve as a defensive end at times and not be a liability.

To go along with that speed and quickness, Liner does seem to read plays and move along the line to fill holes, an attribute that will serve him well as a defensive tackle.

His athletic ability is his greatest asset, but he will have to add some strength and size to play in SEC trenches. His weight is reported anywhere from 275 to 294, so how much strength he needs to add remains to be seen. Standing at well above 6 feet, he should have the body to easily fill in those pounds and become a force in the middle for the Crimson Tide.

Ratings: Consensus 4-star
Vitals: 6'3, 275
Other offers: Auburn, Kentucky and Miami
Twitter: @Liner_25
