This is only allowed against Bethune Cookman. Clearly it allowed the defense to be too aggressive which is against the rules under Al Golden.

I like the idea of 4-2-5, we have depth at interior DL and DE, and Burns/Elder/Jenkins/Bush/Carter and should all be on the field as much as possible. Keep Bush and Jenkins Deep and have Carter more in the traditional strong safety/run support role. Let Burns and Elder do their thing in man coverage, with Howard mixing in.

Unfortunately we know that what makes the most sense won't be done based on Golden's history.

Owens is out for season. Surprised this isn't getting talked about more. Golden had 4 years to right the depth, now it's paper thin. He might finally have to let McCord be a dog
