Dabo the ****head

I forget what coach said it, after being accused of running up the score. But it went something like this, "Its their job to stop us, not our job to quit trying to score. I've seen Manny take his foot off the gas more than once. There is one other quote, but not from a football coach, that fits. "When you got it, flaunt it".

Except this is a myth. Jimmy did not leave starters in with a big fourth quarter lead. Even In the big Notre Dame game where he got blamed for running up the score. He had emptied the bench and the backups were still out there scoring. He wasn’t taking a knee and just running the clock out but he certainly didn’t have his first team quarterback in the game when he was up by 40.
 
If a team has a problem with the bravado or arrogance Dabo shows and how he runs up the score then do something about it. Many of our former coaches in our glory days behaved in the same way. He earned his trash talk and killer instinct until someone takes it away. Unfortunately my Canes didn’t.

Yes. He continued to run the offense but it was with backups.

It was Jimmy Johnson. He was accused of running up the score on Notre Dame. And he did run up the score on Notre Dame. With second and third team players. It not about taking it easy on the opponent, it’s about getting experience and reps for younger guys.

It’s like we forgot, bro!! It’s so f’ing infuriating when I see our fans use every f’ing excuse known to justify or blame incompetence. WE WERE BAMA & CLEMSON BEFORE BAMA & CLEMSON! We ran up the score w/ our backups. GO LOOK AT WHAT WE DID TO PSU IN ‘01 AT A GAME THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR TALIAFERRO! LOL!!!

The pussification from the admin has trickled to our coaches, which has trickled to our players, which has trickled to our fans, and now we see why ppl post “well, I still think Diaz is our guy” or “how dare the refs help Clemson” or “the nerves of Dabo keeping Lawrence on the field.” STFU and grow a pair like we use to.

All this vasectomy bull chit I read after every loss is for the birds. I want this team to look at what Clemson did to them, and beat the brakes off Pitt next week & give a message to Clemson “we remember, and we’ll see ya’ll @$$e$ again in the ACCCG!” Fck this Soccer Mom Karen bull chit.
 
The difference between Jimmy and Manny. Jimmy had 2nd and 3rd team players who could get the job done. Manny does not. Who do we have at QB if King gets hurt? We are 1 deep at TE. 2 deep at RB. We have to put in Freshmen when someone on the OL & DL go down. There is a big difference between what kind of players Jimmy had and what we have as replacements now.
 
If we're so terrible, how did they only put up 42 with their star QB/RB combination and 17 more minutes of possession? And that's with the chicken**** calls and removing starter for "targeting".

How many points do you think he would have to score before pulling Lawrence/Etienne?
 
Dabo is the man. Love his attacking style. Manny should take some notes!

And for the love of most Canes fans, please move on from Kosi Perry. The guy flat out stinks. Onward and forward....

I agree with running it up, pour it on them and dont let em up, but the only difference is we used to do it with backups. I remember Jimmy talking about the Notre Dame game where they *****ed we ran up the score. Jimmy said he put the BACKUPS in but the backups were fresh and wanting to prove things. That's **** of a lot different then keeping your star QB in the game the whole time to run it up.
 
I coached a different sport, and while you never embarrass them with trick plays or be obnoxious, you let the reserves come in and play. They work all off-season and practice just as hard to get their starters ready, so its not right to have them come in and run off tackle every play.
 
I love the fact that he tried to score another td with 10secs left in the game already up by 25 lol. That's how I want my coaches to coach.
