I understand this, however his skin is a tad thin for anyone who walks into Saban's shadow.

Also, if he carries on with opposition to the portal but doesn't maintain the high expectations of wining at Alabama he's not going to be happy there either.

Just saying, for all of his ties to the program it's a much tougher job than Clemson.
 
Dabo must have read “Be the Cheese” then tried to be it. Little did he know things could get hot and he would melt or get sandwiched by the 1.5%…

This is just how Dabo is selling it. A large part of it is Clemson doesn't have the money. When he's at Alabama it'll be like he never had a problem with it.

I don't know whether it's there. Maybe you're right. But regardless, he had all the power and leverage and could insist on whatever contract terms he wanted. If he didn't want to take calls, I'm sure he had/has the power to do so. The fact that he sits there and takes calls . . . I give him credit. I mean, maybe that makes him an idiot too. But compare that with Mario and the access to the media he provides. I am laughing considering the thought of Mario taking calls.
