Bain destroyed the RT before Carr caught the snap. Look how off balance he is, that dude really earned that 10.4 pass blocking grade.
Welllll...Anthonie Knapp had the lowest grade, but he was out of the game (cramping) at that point.
The center (70) is Ashton Craig, a junior, and he was their best OL during the game. He is one of the returning OL starters who are supposed to anchor ND's OL.
Now, in the picture, going from right to left, the LEFT TACKLE (71) is Styles Prescod. He is s freshman. He apparently filled in for sophomore Knapp (one of the four solid starting OLs who were supposed to be so good), who had to leave the game due to cramping. The LEFT GUARD (74) is Billy Schrauth, a junior. He is also one of the four returning starters, but he was not that good in this game.
Now then, on the right side of that picture, you have RIGHT TACKLE (59) Aamil Wagner, a junior, and the fourth returning starter. According to ND writers, this was the worst game of his career. Finally, at RIGHT GUARD, you have either freshman Guerby Lambert (76) or sophomore Sullivan Absher (75), it is hard to read the jersey number in the picture. I'm guessing it was Lambert, as he had the second-lowest PFF grade.
At any rate, Miami loaded up against the guy having his worst game ever, and either a freshman or sophomore who was known to be the weakest link in the chain even before the game started. And also to make it harder for a right-handed QB to roll out to his right.
Good strategy.
