We are all excited for Richt after Golden and there is no question that he is assembling quite the staff with coaches that understand what it takes to win going off of their SEC experience with expectations. Looking at the roster, you are gonna have a third craving the change, a third that is going to struggle and fight the change and a third that is undecided that can be swayed either way. One of the hardest things to do anytime there is new leadership is to get everyone to buy in to the change. When you don't recruit the right players which we haven't there is going to be a strong challenge and potential turnover.

Judging by our players body language on the defensive side, you can tell they struggled buying into what D'Onfrio was asking them to do. They knew that the scheme didn't work and that what they were preaching wasn't working. On that front, we can expect a major spike in morale and performance. It's the expectations, mindset, discipline and most importantly the understanding of what it actually takes to be a winning football with the day to day requirements. We heard some of the interviews and how the players sounded just like Golden, we've seen the slogans of "deserve victory", we've endured the preseason photoshoot, we've witnessed Artie Burns being punked on national television by Louisville's kicker!!! Like it or not but that all ties into everything stated above.

For as much as the human side of me hates anyone losing their job, this is why it should be so refreshing that the Golden staff is being gutted even with some of the guys leaving probably being better pound for pound coaches than we realize and were held back by Golden's ways. The senior class of 2016 (2013 class per Rivals) was ranked 20th with 8 guys no longer with the team 9th could be Coley pending if he declares. That does not leave a lot for a first year coach to work with from a leadership standpoint and could mean even more turnover with not wanting to go from the soft country club practices and atmosphere to a Coach Kool laying into their *** repeatedly throughout practices. It is crucial that the middle third of undecided guys referenced earlier are swayed in the right direction or else this could be a lengthy rebuild. Personally believe that there is enough talent to cause some noise next year and am actually looking forward to the next 8 months instead of dreading them....

We've been without any resemblance of a competent coach for 5 years, so we definitely trending upward big time on the culture change. I think many of the kids are excited to know that they will now be given a fair chance based on football skills and not adaptation to a weird psychological profile Golden believed in.

A lot more than 5 years!!!

Try like 16 years.

No more color-coded-performance-based-jerseys. No more Dallas Vrawfords of the world starting bc of seniority. No more tool box Trent covering WRs.

I expect many kids to get weeded out.

There will be kids weeded out no doubt. But I think most kids came here to win championships and be savages. I think a majority buy into this change. As long as the current team leaders buy in. guys like Kayaa seem to want to be winners so that's a good sign.

This culture change **** is overblown. It was invented as an excuse for new HCs who were failing and trying to milk more time.

These players should see Richt and the new professional staff as hostages see rescuers. They're finally going to be coached. They should be thanking their lucky stars every day that they've been rescued.

If Richt can't get the overwhelming majority to buy in and starts running everyone off like that incompetent **** Charlie Weak, then it's on him.

I don't see a big purge. Richt has to be better than taking the easy way out and running guys off. He needs to get them to buy in.

He can't make them buy in or be tough...they get it or get gone. Cold world out here.

Running off too many guys means you're a bad leader and that you'll likely fail. Charlie Weak took that scorched earth approach.

Culture change is crucial. It starts at the top, meaning the president and so far it has been progressing nicely. Next step after the coaches is obviously the players, can't run too many off, it's a necessity to get buy-in. Shouldn't be too hard.
