Cristobal, Beck and Mauigoa on Donno

In the beginning, Mario said he committed to Miami in high school. Am I the only one that doesn’t remember this? I thought he was originally a Florida baseball commit, flipped to bama for football, and then ultimately signed with Georgia

It was the first I heard about it, too.

I only recall the UF baseball commitment.

Perhaps it just wasn’t made public?

Do you mean that Donno didn't ask Mario about that in his interview? I mean, it was a few minutes long so didn't get to that level of detail. I didn't get much more out of the Mario portion than any other interview with him. Not bad at all, he's just very on script.

But the Beck interview was good. I loved how Beck just reeled off the different schemes an offense can run, noted how he ran the player-led-practice whiteboarding and playbook review sessions with the receivers, TEs and RBs. Good stuff. Beck may not be Cam. But he's still in a different league. Love the fact we have an NFL caliber QB running point for our offense.

p.s. not every thread needs to be about safety depth, lol.

Every thread? WTF?

Is Mario being asked pre-fall camp questions in “every thread” because I am not part of “every thread”…personally, while you may not care, I would like to hear the HEAD COACH answer what his plans are for depth in the thin areas of the team.

Sure, I can guess what he might say, but I can only listen to “quality human being” and “putting in the work like no other” so much until I want to hear something else. This interview was more in depth than any other at ACC days, and while they were discussing the secondary and individual players, I thought he could have just tossed that bone in there.
