The first Toledo TD should have been a Redwine pick. Redwine played the passing lane perfectly. Instead Shaq tipped it right over his head. Redwine has been inconsistent but he played that one perfectly and was not rewarded.

Shhhhhh don't tell that to the Manny haters who were crucifying him for his play call, development, defense, and everything else on that play.

Kinda like that game against FSU some years back where our defensive guy tipped a pass and the FSU receiver caught it near the sideline and scored. At least we won this game against Toledo.

I thought this thread was gonna address something I just noticed while re-watching the game. I’m pretty sure Kevin Beard is on their sidelines.

That was McCord, he couldn’t believe that went right into the hands of an FSU rb.

Good for him. Always good to be gainfully employed. Seemed like a class act from what I recall.
Our WR play actually got better under him. We started to see WRs actually block again. Of course, Dugans has done an amazing job, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone, but Beard did a fine job here.

We got the brunt of the bouncing ball during that 30-0 first half against LSU.

4 or 5 stops on D, and 4 or 5 more plays on O, and it’s a whole new ball game.
