Have a second college team? No. Miami would have to completely give up or drop football (no jokes). Even then, unlikely.

Root for another team against a team I dislike? Sure, its only one game. I rooted for Mario/Oregon to smack Ohio State. Does not make me a Duck fan.

Root for another team because I enjoy watching a player on another team? Sure, its only one game. I enjoyed watching Maziel against Bama, twice. Does not make me a TAMU fan.

It depends on what you mean by "pull."

I "root" for a lot of teams for various reasons. I root for FIU, FAU, USF, and UCF most weeks. I root for Oregon in the Pac 12. I root for Fresno State (my undergrad alma mater). Stuff like that.

But I can only be a fan of one program, the Canes.
