With severe sanctions on the Miami program, Butch went an AMAZING 51-20 and was 4-0 in bowls and on the tail end of that built the most talented team in college football history and had over 30 first-rounders.

Have Saban or Meyer ever had to coach in a shiit storm like that ?

Could they have had the same record ? Maybe.....Maybe not.

Not sure how this is relevant now given that we don't have sanctions and have a pretty good roster returning. We dont need some 5 year rebuild here folks.

Urban has never BUILT anything. He uses others work and then MUST move on because his sucks. Dude does win NCs but does not build. Saban might have done well, but there is no proof of that. His best success has come at LSU and Bama, both who buy players.
