According to Matt Miler on Bleacher report scouts are raving about him, also Pro Football Focus as him rated as the top overall CB in the nation so far. I really like this kid hope he continues to ball out the rest of the year.

One of the few guys who jump off the screen. And every game.

He got hosed on that punt return, too. Should have at least 2 on the year.

Hes balling in this scheme, hes barely out there at times and just makes plays, he should be starting, then again we should be running a different scheme

This kid is a football player. He would be good at anything he does imo. Btw think aboht that. You have Elder and Burns, Jenkins and Bush. Any decent DC had that, you probably could complete a 2 yard pass. Not in this puzzified prevent **** though. When they are balling out in the league everyone is going to scratch their head.

He's just fortunate that the scheme isn't holding him back the same way it's holding back the super-duper 5-star Tracy Howard. :monkey-serious:

Corch Macho still loves the scheme, very DB friendly.

Despite the fact Elder gave up a TD vs Neb and Cincy and got burned at the end of the game.

I don't love the scheme, I just think it's pathetic when we blame the scheme on a CB's failures.

And Elder didn't give up that TD or get burnt against Cincy because of scheme. He was in press-man and got broke off at the line-of-scrimmage. Got straight up shook.

In Al's 5 years here the most INTs by a DB is 4, conveniently its Howard in 2013. The other 3 full years the most was 2.

INTs by DBs total:
2011: 5 (Ha)
2012: 6 (Ha)
2013: 15
2014: 4 (Ha)

In the last 5 years the most sacks by a DL is 5 by Chick and Robinson in 2011.

2011: Chick and Robinson 5
2012: Chick 4
2013: Kamalu and Chick 3.5
2014: Kamalu 3.5

Not surprising, Miami has had 2 DL (Vernon and Chick) and 1 DB (McGee) drafted since Al has been here. Vernon had 1.5 sacks his 1 year with Al, he has had a 10 sack season in the NFL

Our ballin CB Corn Elder (who is playing pretty well) has 1 INT in 3 years here.

I don't know how you can't see that this scheme is very unfriendly to DL and DBs. Very hard to make plays when you are on your heels the entire game.

DB and DL? Everyone looks terrible. The LBs making tackles 15 yards down field. We dont make tfls lol.....at Miami thats hilarious

I never said it was unfriendly to DL. Matter of fact, I've been saying the opposite for years. The day these guys got hired I said that we would have a hard time up front.

However, ain't no scheme "unfriendly" for DB's if they're playing every coverage in the book.

INT's are not a true measure of how good a CB is playing. It's a very misleading stat. Even during our great years our CB's didn't get a ton of picks, our Safeties did. When we had the 3rd ranked pass defense in the nation during 2010 none of our CB's had a high number of INT's.

I have yet to see anybody explain exactly how a scheme is unfriendly for a CB. I'm still waiting.

The only scheme that is "unfriendly" for a CB is man-press. Not only is it hard to cover but it's **** near impossible to get INT's.

I'm dead. No unfriendly schemes for CBs.

Can be unfriendly to DEs, DTs, LBs, S but not CB. All schemes are 100% equal.

There is a scheme that's unfriendly for CB's. A scheme that's primarily press-man. I already said this. However, at Miami we play everything. Howard is always in press-man when he gets burnt. Elder was in press-man against Cincy when he got toasted.

When you're ready, go ahead and tell us exactly how this particular scheme is unfriendly to a CB.

If Elder leaves, next year at CB could be a nightmare.
Besides Burns, who will we have who's seasoned?

Diego just dropped the pellets. That's sums it up pretty good.

"Corch Macho" has DB's playing at UCLA, Syracuse and Penn, one of which is a potential 1st/2nd round draft pick and another that was 6A-8A Broward County Defensive Player of the Year. I've also coordinated back-to-back seasons with a CB registering over 7 INT's.

So go head smart guy, I'm all ears.
