As for the recap no need to be coy. This was and will be the Cam Ward show. Haven't seen a QB make those kinds of plays here since Vinny. Actually a lot of similarities there. My one knock is not to be so nonchalant about running out of bounds. Just gives more time and opportunity for a holding call or block in the back or defender coming from behind. I'm sure Dawson will bring that up in film.
There were actually some people here saying last season they wanted to see X move on, and you are very dumb and should feel very bad about yourself for that take.
Brown was tight and tentative but I still think he's gonna have a big year.
Would have like to have seen some bigger holes for backs to run through but this is actually a pretty good and pretty big DL and we did enough in the run game. Martinez looked decent in limited carries without much room to run. Pass blocking was mostly solid.
Defense played excellently save for the 1 long run where Jaden took a terrible angle. Otherwise he was very good. I don't remember one coverage bust all game and I can't remember the last time that happened.
Glad Borregales got his one miss out of the way. He's not allowed any more.
You'll see that Restrepo reverse pass again. Kind of wish we had saved it. Now it's on tape.
You'll see guys like RayRay (dropped a sure TD on a wide open crosser), JoJo, CJ, and others get mixed in as the season goes on. Was clear today they were relying on veterans.
For the Gates kind of glad they didn't start Lagway. We still would have won handily but he'd have been a much bigger pain in the *** to chase around for 4 quarters. Hate to say it but I think he'll be pretty good for them.
