Coming from Ireland to see the game on 09/10

Oh, make it clear you're from Ireland! Don't say you're an Irish fan, it means something entirely different. :t5diA6fawIHW78.jpg:

Timbotx we should be friends - I'm from Mayo, live in Galway and work in Dublin.

Absolutely thrilled to see that there is another one for the U here in Ireland.

I swear.

Everywhere, there are Canes fans. We're not a myriad, but we're everywhere.

I guarantee, in some craphole in the mountains of Fookoffistan, there's a Cane fan or two.

Right now there is some dude on his knees in Syria about to get beheaded muttering to himself, "This is ******* bull****, I lived through Randy Shannon AND Al Golden, but I'm going to die before Mark Richt." The guy with the knife to his neck is like, "Wait, hey Abdul put that chainsaw down for a minute. Bro, you're a Miami fan? Yo you excited about Diaz bringing back that 4-3? What's your name on the message boards? You think Mullins is going to qualify breh?"

Thanks boys you seem like a bunch of sound guys! I'm sure I'll have no bother meeting some cool folks there. I'll wear my Ireland jersey, as its green (and I don't have a canes jersey) though I might buy a canes jersey.

As for Lauderdale, we're staying in Miami as we want to go out drinking for pretty much a week straight and Miami seems like the place to do that, were planning on going up to Lauderdale direction for the casino!

I'll look out for the green parking lot, and bring a crate of beer with us. Gonna have to take uber, as there is no chance we'll be in any shape to drive to and from the stadium hahah as I say we'll probably head onto a stripclub or club after the game.

Appreciate all the responses, think I'm going to have a good time at the game.

Hey all,

Myself and two others have got seats to the game against Florida Atlantic. We're here on vacation but wanted to catch a game.

Can anyone tell me if people tailgate at the stadium, are you allowed to drink outside the stadium? and do they serve alcohol inside the stadium?

Any good bars nearby for before and after? We're going to uber from our downtown hotel, and probably hit Tootsies after the games, apparently it has to be seen when you visit Miami.

My main concern is the tailgate party and any tips to make the game even more fun?

Thanks

Tim

If you bring me a leprechaun I'll be your personal tour guide.

If you want excitement, hitchhike down 27 ave to the game if you are coming from Miami. If you are staying in Ft Lauderale, maybe Broward Blvd west to 441 and then south -- that might turn up so thrills. As to drinking, in America today I think you are allowed to drink at games if you are Moslem, but otherwise Irishmen can drink only water. You are viewed as to risky.

Thanks, will google map all that, staying downtown Miami I think! not booked yet, but downtown interests me more than the beach.

Hey man, none of that... IrishLivesMatter... jk I'll bring my qu'ran.

Echo this sentiment. Steer clear of the Blue Lot and #switchbladelifebro

Blue lot, gotcha! My first stop will be at a gun store, so I can get a gun to fit in with locals, jokes will be on Juan for bringing a knife to a gunfight.
You'll fit right in, with the rest of our wiseasses.

Don't confuse Miami with Miami Beach you'll love the action on SOBE and SOFO.

Check out Brickell which is adjacent to downtown. Brickell has a lot more bars and more nightlife. Also a place called wynwood (2 miles north of downtown/Brickell) is fun to go drinking (wood tavern, coyo taco, wynwood brewing company and panther coffee are all really good spots) and you don't have to dress nice. lots of local and international art via murals. The only downside is that it's a Zika hotspot right now. But after a few drinks you stop giving a ***** about Zika.

Lauderdale is fun but a lot of places close at 2am and they don't have as many options as Miami does.

Everything around the stadium sucks chode. Hard Rock casino is 10 minutes north of the stadium (take turnpike) in my opinion it is the closest place actually acceptable for entertainment near the stadium.

If you plan on going to south beach, don't eat on ocean drive (unless it's south of 5th street)..it's a ripoff and the food taste like shiit. Check out Lincoln road and south pointe park..

Good luck on your trip and enjoy the game. Go canes!

Definitely stay in Miami. There is so much more to do than fort Lauderdale these days. You will be I close proximity to midtown, brickell wynwood (watch out for the Zika especially if you are pregnant) and south beach. Tons of bars and places to go. Can't say. Koch for your choice of game. Obviously not the best game but should be a decent crowd.
