The numbers never ever lie.

Lot of season left but when you play 6 games and you are top 5 in every possible category, and top three in some major categories, you are a legit top defense in the nation.

Am I still skeptical? Yes, but only bc of past precedent.

Also, Jess Simpson technique is such a welcome addition to that unit, it matches better with Diaz’s system.

Looks like u getting a little emotional emotional. U can say whatever u can, but the stats prove u wrong; I'm not going to name those stats bc plenty of people have already stated them u just fail to comprehend them. Football is a team sport and requires both sides to be succeed. No matter how good one side of the ball plays if the one side of the team can't execute it will definitely prevent the other side from playing to the best of thier ability, you saying that theres no excuse for the defense is idiotic. Just imagining playing defense and ur offense keeps going 3 and out and when u finally get on the field the other team already has traveled majority of the field. It's called pulling your weight and CMR did not do that at all in the second nor in the first half.

Agree. When the DL is able to pin their ears back every down and get after it they take over games. It's so rare to have a DL with multiple guys who have multiple effective rush moves and they get in a rhythm when they don't have to worry about gap integrity as much. Diaz is mixing in the right amounts of stunts/games, delayed pressures and throwing in some edge rushes from LBs and DBs. Everyone gets involved which is a beautiful thing.
 
Im sure someone must have mentioned it but we took the lead with 11:52 to go in the game and FSU i don't think even picked up another first down when a FG could win it. That probably has been the best Canes D performance since 2002. Being serious.
