Had a short feature on the state of the U.

Reece started off by mentioning Herbie’s earlier comments that got the attention of the powers that be. Reece said a statue should be erected on the U campus for bringing attention to the many issues with the program.

Briefly interviewed 6 former players that included Joaquin, Reed, Vilma, and Romberg about an upcoming special about the 2001 team.

Joaquin briefly talked about the “standard” and how far away we are from it.

Reed wouldn’t get into the “standard” but mentioned player accountability and how it’s non-existent right now.

Vilma echoed Reed’s comments about the brotherhood.

Bear was asked his thoughts and hedged some mentioning what Manny has accomplished - bring in new staff, using the portal, sitting upperclassmen this year when they were not performing.

Dez also mentioned Manny replacing upperclassmen but neglected to say it too little, too late.

Reece closed by saying by firing Blake, it was clear the U powers that be didn’t want hin making any future HC decision.

Also interviewed Mario beforehand. Only talked about his upcoming game with Utah with no mention of any coaching rumors.

BTW Utah is -3.5.

I could be wrong, but wasn’t manure forced to play the youngins due to the injury bug?

Lee Corso had the best comments for me by stating Manure has 2 things working against him 1) you lost to fsooo last week and 2) your AD just got canned...

Shout out to GameDay for keeping our issues in the news and showing that we're still relevant and the nation wants the U back. However; Manure was forced into playing the young guys due to injuries. Gurvan was the only player he benched for performance

Salute to the seniors today

I suspect they [the media, the Rothschilds, the Illuminati] are at least curious to see if Miami can turn it around.

Everyone loves a good comeback story--hero or villian.

That's why I think the AD and HC job is very alluring to the right people--get Miami back to elite and your praise will be sung by minstrels 1,000 years from now...

Never thought ESPN would come to the rescue of Miami Football. Man, what an indictment toward the BOT, Prez and former AD. Doing nothing for so long. Add past Prez and retired BOT’s. Pathetic, all of them.

Appreciate the few that are actually doing something to correct an 18 year miserable run. Hopefully now they see the importance of Big Time College Football and the money it brings.

Let's be clear here, ESPN wants a good storyline, periodt! They are getting bored with the SEC, SEC, SEC, and need to infuse some juice into college football. Miami is that juice.
They're looking at what Miami did in the 80's and 90's and are salivating at the idea of what that would look like today. Back then the allure of UM was that we were "upsetting the apple cart" in a way never seen b4. UM completely disrupted the CFB world to the point where many were calling for the death penalty for trivial things. The mere mention of UM illicitted such an emotional response that people lost their minds. THAT is what ESPN wants! They ain't coming to the rescue out of benevolence, otherwise they'd be doing segments on FSU. Nah, the have seen the power of the U brand.

First off, thanks to Herbie and ESPN for bringing it to light. Second, it just shows you that The U is still a viable Brand name-even if we haven't been relevant in college football for 20 years! If the University is serious and saying they have between 20-30 million to get us back, and with the recent firing of Blake, I for once, feel like the BOT/Administration will do the right thing to correct this mess. The next few months will be exciting to see who our AD/Coach will be going forward. It would make one helluva story if we could turn this thing around and contend again after being away for so long.

You knew for certain that SI wouldn't be the ones to do it.

**** right ESPN wants Miami great again. Many of the highest rated CFB games of all time are Miami games.

Plus, CFB fans in general are tired of the same handful of teams at the top.

Miami becoming Miami again would be a great heel-turned-face in pro wrestling terms.
