I don’t know if this iteration will work, but this is s step in the right direction. If the NCAA really cared about limiting lawsuits, it would support this effort rather than crying to congress about anti-trust protection. With collective bargaining comes the ability to legally enforce a contract with the players. Which is precisely why you don’t see the lawsuits against professional organizations by the players; there is collective bargaining and the contracts have an arbitration clause to settle disputes.
 
This is absolutely the best step for the players because anything other than a collectively bargained deal will always fall apart in the courts. And this new BS thing they’re trying to push through Congress, the players get the short end of the stick on it, and I don’t think it will pass because of that. It’s time to collective bargain, the deal universities, and their presidents!
