This is a very sad staff i mean just look at this staff. no one in the college world nor NFL is looking at these guys. all of Golden Assistants Fisch and Richardson underachieved in NFL. Fisch is now with Michigan , Mark Whipple with UMass ,Richardson on the streets.

Al Golden- Stubborn as **** and overpaid.
Head Coach

Mark D'Onofrio - should have been gone 3 seasons ago
Assistant Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator

James Coley-Really Handcuffed by Golden but he calls some questionable plays
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

Hurlie Brown. He had Duke and Denzel we will see the real him next year.
Linebackers Coach

Jethro Franklin- just terrible
Senior Defensive Assistant/Defensive Line

Tim Harris- Rb's looked much improve this year. must keep
Running Backs Coach

Art Kehoe- I think he is a good coach. many would disagree
Offensive Line Coach

Larry Scott- Clive Walford tremendous year.
Tight Ends Coach

Paul Williams - absolutely worst coach on this staff
Defensive Backs Coach

Brennan Carroll - does he even coach?
Wide Receivers / National Recruiting Coordinator

Even though this whole staff beside ICE should have been wiped clean after last year's debacle. We are in another year of this same staff that went 6-7, lost to the last place team in the coastal in a blowout fashion. please let this be the last year of these guys at Miami.

Only talking about COACHES and not guys like baez or beard, i would like to see Harris, Scott and Hurlie remain employed.
 
I for one don't like the idea of scapegoating for Jethro or Williams... but I really don't understand 1 premise when it comes to our fan base...

Many are so quick to say that Coley is being handcuffed by Golden, essentially giving him a pass for 'not opening things up'...

I've even heard the 'D'onfrio is bad, but it's GOLDEN's defense he's running'... argument...

But never have I heard anyone say anything about Jethro may be teaching GOLDEN'S techniques, or Williams may be teaching GOLDEN'S techniques... Can't have it both ways... Either they all suck, or they are all being handcuffed... Which one is it?

I can't justify much about Paul Williams, but Jethro Franklin can obviously coach guys... His 2005 defensive line was one of the best in the country. Then he went to 2 NFL teams, before being hired AGAIN by Pete Carroll.

My point is, Golden's scheme is so bad, that it's truly hard to blame any position coach whatsoever about how their unit is playing. I'm by no means a slurper of Franklin, but come on man... You go from having Frostee Rucker getting 7 sacks in one season, to Anthony Chick having close to 7 sacks in a career... something's not adding up...

This is why I give a guy like Larry Scott tons of credit. He's been able to develop AND UTILIZE Walford and Dobard under a coach whose scheme is seemingly only good at handcuffing talent.
