Coaches poll

UM should be #3 . The fact that Clemson is ahead of UM makes absolutely no sense. UM and Clemson have played similar schedules with many of the same teams. Except UM beat a team that beat Clemson. It's not like Clemson has been blowing people out either. Yeah Clemson beat NC State, BUT UM beat FSU away and an 8-1 Toledo...most importantly UM is undefeated.

Normally we would want the teams we play to win. However, with all the anti-UM voting I'm rooting for everyone to have 2 losses. At this point I don't think a 1 loss UM makes it in the playoffs...even with winning the ACC. We need some upsets like FSU over Clemson, Auburn over
UGA, and Michigan over Wisconsin.

Technically, we need Clemson to win every game til the ACCCG. it sucks...but it's the only hedge we have left.

We get our playoffs before the playoffs. We get ND at home and will likely play Clemson in the ACCCG. We good over here, and no matter what we'll have an opportunity to answer all the questions.

Ohio State gets the absolute beatdown of a lifetime and they only drop to 11.

Its like i'm taking crazy pills.

Not like there’s a bunch of good teams out there, where would you put them, vtech only dropped 4 spots

Behind USC, UCF, Oklahoma State and Michigan State for starters.

USC just got beat up by ND, ok state just lost and gave up 62 as well, nobody really thinks if taint played ucf that ucf would win, and they actually Michigan State next week so we’ll see about that one. I’m just saying after the 9th spot it’s basically a crapshoot

USC is 8-2 and their only 2 losses were road games against a top 20 WSU and top 5 ND, UCF is undefeated obviously, OkState's two losses are to #7 and #9 in this poll.

Ohio State got their doors blown off against Oklahoma, needed a miracle to beat an overrated Penn State and lost by 31 to unraked Iowa.

Dude ucf can beat as many Austin peays and east Carolinas that they want and they will still be ucf, play a ranked team. Michigan State needed a lightning strike miracle to beat an “overrated” Penn State team that knew their season was over by virtue of not being able to make the big 10 title game. USC has gotten blown out this year, and ok state just gave up 62. Does it really matter if they are ranked 11 or 13?

take care of business and Miami will be fine

Heard that one before.

If we run the table were in. Period & there’s nothing they can do.

Yeah, we'll have to beat two top 5 teams and then if we're lucky we'll get the same respect as Wisconsin.

If Miami wins out they're in. This will include beating Notre Dame and Clemson, two teams that are currently ranked ahead of us.

I'm not even thinking of the playoffs directly yet.

Clemson is currently holding down the ACC's CFP spot. Thats very important for the big picture of the post season. We have 4 games left including the ACCCG. We literally have to win all four of them to make playoffs. If Clemson loses before the ACCCG, they will no longer hold that CFP spot. Which means we HAVE to take it to get in.

The potential problem is, what if we possibly lose a game between now and the post season? Lets not kid ourselves, ND and Clemson are not going to be gimmies. We're gonna have to play Championship football against both. A lost between us or Clemson between now and the post season is literally the difference between us playing in the CFP, The Orange Bowl, and I believe the Outback or Citrus Bowl.

In short, we dont need Clemson to lose a game before the ACC championship game to either play in the CFP, or the new years Orange bowl. I'm with everyone else on this: "JUST WIN". But I'm trying to figure out what bowl tickets to start looking at! :-)

How the **** does Notre Dame give up **** near 40 points to Wake Forest and jump us?

How?

Because rankings aren’t just based on one week. They lost by one point to the #1 team in the country. Just win on Saturday.

I'm the first guy that'll argue about polls and the committee but the corches poll should just go away or be ignored.

I'm with you...why is there a poll filled out by a group of people who quite literally don't have time to watch the games?

Who cares? It’s better this way. With Nd qb talking crap, experts picking Nd, this is shaping up the way we want.

i second this, if it makes our guys continue to play ****ed off with a chip on their shoulder like last night I'll take the media doubters and disrespect.
