coaches after 4/10/18 practice

Cager really doesn't have a choice. Last year I think caught him off guard as I think he thought we would just ride with him until the wheels fell off because we had nobody else behind him...enter...Darrell Langham. If Cager cant get it together, Langham will be there to take his reps. That simple.
Don't forget some very talented freshman looking for some snaps.

Did you notice how Dugans hesitated when the reporter asked about Thomas starting at the slot? Richt did the same thing last week, when he quickly reminded the reporter that Thomas was still working heavily on the outside as well.

At the end of the interview, Dugans said that Cager is in the X receiver spot. The way I interpret that is Thomas is still going to be the primary Z receiver, with Cager backing up AR82 at X receiver. I imagine, there will definitely be some packages for Thomas in the slot as well.

I am just curious if we are going to use someone like Harley primarily in the slot, or are we going to use Brevin a lot in the slot the way Richt did with Njoku. It's a GREAT problem to have. Weapons are f'ucking everywhere!

Cager’s problem last year wasn’t just the knee. It was exactly what Dugans was saying. He runs routes like he’s Ahmmon Richards, who can round off his routes a little and still destroy whichever chump is covering him. He’s not that type of athlete and his skills arent at that level, but he approaches like the game like he’s able to blow by people. He needs to work on his route running and using his size to get open. If he does that he can be a really good college receiver. Let’s hope.

Cager has been under the guidance of Dugans for 3 seasons now. It’s time for him to step the **** up. U should very consistent by know. Especially if he is a Senior. Not sure if he redshirted..

Was thinking this very same thing a few weeks ago looking at Jordan's Film. Would help us a lot in the Redzone if we can isolate him with a LB or DB for that matter. I think I read Richt mentioning that in a recruiting article too.
