Yeah, I have no opinion on if he'd be successful here or not, but it is hilarious the way everybody needs to have a legit resume unless they are former players. Were you a walk-on on the '91 team? Great, you're our new DB coach! Waterboy from 1983? Congrats, you're the OC now!!! WOOOOOO!!!

The jury still out on our dt recruiting, Nesta is the only dog I can say for sure is a difference maker right now in terms if beastly dts. Thats my opinion unless these guys can change my thoughts from here on out

And what has Nesta done to make you think this? His whopping 13 total tackles, 1.5 TFL and 0 sacks? You’re reaching. Can he be special yes. But nothing about his play has warranted him to be labeled as a “for sure difference maker”.

im going on his potential your right he hasnt done anything, i think he was the most talented coming out for dts at least out of the guys i mentioned

I think our DTs are doing s fantastic job this year. There’s no running room in the middle of the line. Containment and the LBs are the problems.

I don't understand why you think that wanting to hire Kevin Patrick as a DL coach makes one a "mouth breather". Patrick would seem to be a very attractive and qualified candidate to be the DL coach here. I also don't understand how thinking Kevin Patrick is a viable option to be the DL coach here is in any way analogous to or comparable to thinking Ed Reed should coach DBs here outside of the fact that they are both former UM players. Patrick has 15 years of college coaching experience all of those years coaching the DL. He obviously has South Florida ties and is very experienced. This does not automatically make Patrick the best DL coach prospect but the intetest in him is quite natural and understandable.

The calls to hire Ed Reed to be our secondary coach are quite different. Reed is considered to be the best safety to ever play the game but his only coaching experience is one year with the Bills under Rex Ryan coaching the DBs. While I personally believe that Reed would make a very good coach there are many fans who think that just because a player was a superstar during his playing days it automatically makes them a perfect coaching fit and we all know that is not the case.

Moten was decent and RJ and Kendrick were drafted but it took them until they got into Diaz' defense to realize their true potential. The others were pure crap.
