During games I see Coach Taylor VERY engaged, much more than last year. He controls the defensive huddles during TO or injury TO. All the players were primarily around him. He was in the field coaching before time restarted. Several times, I was screaming for him to get out of the field on time. he was lit! He was into the game, he got into Moten after a penalty big time. At one point another coach had to pull him to the sidelines. I love it, he commands the players respect and attention. This is a leader, is the first coach mentioned during recruiting. He was positioning players. The humidity Friday was 89%, he was soaked and should be a DC yesterday.

Noticed that too, is guidry in the booth or is he just letting JT relay calls to the front 7 and him and chevis talk to the secondary?

Only ask cause i remember @WestEndZone saying guidry defenses calls for the front and secondary are separate

He needs to be on track to be the next head coach.
I love Jason Taylor. He’s both a legend and an amazing defensive line coach.

I don’t know what his coaching aspirations are. If he wants to be a head coach one day, amazing.

But I swear to God if the school ever hires another head coach that hasn’t done something somewhere else first as a head coach of substance I’m gonna evacuate the entire campus and burn it down, metaphorically speaking

Head coach? How about DL/Asst DC before a CO promotion.

Pate referred to Bain and Mesidor as a "thing and his friend"

I guess we know who the Cat in the hat is then

This isn’t anything new. If you watched last year, he was equally as enthusiastic & engaged with the players. There’s a reason he’s the only returning defensive coach.

I’ll be honest, he was looking funny in the light to me after these past 2 seasons. Yes, I acknowledge that last year the entire defense was in shambles and the DC didn’t help anyone look good. I also realize that Bain was hurt last season and dealing with that and Mesidor was playing out of position last year. But guys have clearly taken their game up a notch, and he deserves credit for that.

He’s already good for pulling in a 5 star DE every year. What’s he going to do when he can sell 1st round development? Bring me Jones AND Elee JT!

How about getting Bain to the first even though his measurables aren’t the norm for day1.
