Coach Golden has some serious decisions to make at the end of this season. As much as I hate to say it, I see this team beating Virginia and loosing to Pitt. It took only 3 weeks for this team to go from #7 in the country to being the laughing stock and irrelevant again. If changes are not made by Golden he is looking into loosing recruits and even his fan base.
I really would like to see him be the CEO for a long time. He has the charisma, devotion, dedication and recruiting gifts to change the direction of this program, but I do not believe he has the knowledge of x and o's it takes to dominate at his level. Therefor he NEEDS to surround himself with great assistants.
I can only hope for a brighter future... Go CANES

This is where it hurts not having the money. There's a reason Chavis and Smart haven't been poached. It's hard to turn down 7 figures without actually taking on the full workload of head coach. You need the cash to keep elite assistants these days.

You are 100% correct FlaSportsFann. As a small private college it has become difficult to compete with all the huge public schools when it comes to funding their sports programs. The landscape of college football has changed and now it is about having Million$$$$ 5star facilities like european spas to lure these kids into!

How does Stanford do it?

Recruiting isn't our problem.
We haven't had an issue "luring" in top talent. And that was under the proverbial NCAA black cloud.

We have a development problem. Call it coaching, S&C, schemes, whatever... it's the main problem.
