Coach Diaz with Joe Rose show

My interpretation is that he wants to announce entire offensive staff at once or same day.

He said last week that he would have it in place by tomorrow. Until then, I'd stay away from the ledge. Too late for some of you.

I just go back to this, Diaz said this on espn that day and reiterated that today in his wqam interview. So maybe the OC hire is done but working on the other staff?

If the standard is Clemson, a lot of the current roster, including just about every single offensive lineman, shouldn't have a scholarship. Before Manny starts talking about beating Clemson (which is not even remotely on the horizon), shouldn't he be talking about beating Boston College and Duke? You know, walk before you run? Getting the program back to respectability before talking championships? It doesn't make for exciting sound bites, but it's what needs to be done.

This theory that Miami should be great because it's Miami failed for 4 coaches now. Those days are long over.
We can’t even beat damned UVA, let alone Clemson.

i didnt get that he missed at targets. it sounds more like he is concerned about guys that fit together.

If it all comes together this way, and he is able to announce the hiring of the entire offensive staff all at once, regardless of who they are, I will be very impressed. Everyone in South Florida right now is trying to find any little scrap of information about what is going on there at Hecht and no one knows jack ****. That alone is pretty impressive and a drastic change. It's pretty impressive.

That said, I hope that is what it is and we end up getting Apple Seider and a couple other names that we can all get behind, and within the next day or two. Obviously, everyone knows this, but this moment is so critical to Manny's coaching career.

C'mon now. If Diaz had come in saying that we need to start beating the likes of BC and Duke you'd have posted a similar comment, but tweaked it to say that he's not aspirational enough.

He can't win. Just let him put together his staff, coach his first season then judge him from there. Words are wind.
