They are not nearly as good as last season. We would have to play a near perfect game and they would not for us to pull it off. losing #23 I can only hope will spur CMR to to totally go for broke offensively with way more motion, counters,qb under center,DJ running, throwing and catching and anything else to slow down their pass rush.

IMO our big receivers Cager and Langham have to be heavily involved I don't want to see any small guys except Berrious in the Redzone.

Feagals simply has to be better or it will get ugly fast. I hope everyone else is healthy and ready to fight we need all hands for this one.

I don't think we have to play perfect. We have to play like we did the ND and Va Tech game. They all run spread offenses that are similar. They spread you out and their QB can and will run. Run the defensive gameplan with used against those 2 teams and we will have a chance. Quick passes on offense and hard nosed defense smart defense. No more of those zone read runs from shotgun because there are no holes. Spread the field and get it to guys in space quickly.

I'm not so much worried about our defense but more about having no running game against them, allowing them to bring the house against Rosier. Neither he nor our OL are up to meeting that challenge. Then, with our offense stymied, our D wears down. CMR better have a great offensive game plan.

I don't think you boys understand how good their defense is. we may end up having negative rushing yards

Absolutely they are. Just depends on which Miami team decides to show up to play them.

I'm not a doom and gloomer. Clemson lost to a 4-8 Syracuse. We lost to a 5-7 Pitt. Doesnt mean we are better and will win it. But I'm hoping our loss is a wake up call rather than a trend. We've been playing close to the edge for several of our games. Time to play up to top opponents like we have been all year too.

The truth is we haven't played well the last 2 weeks. Virginia had a great game plan and executed well. Pittsburgh was highly motivated and we were not. I know we are tired and beat up but there is a lot of talent on our team. Clemson too. We can IMO bully them with our big receivers but the plays have to be called. We must stop their run and they must stop ours. KC against 99 is not good he will make plays we have to get rid of it quick or roll away from him. Thomas I'm sorry should only get home run balls as he NEVER fights for it. We must play smart and no **** shank a potomusses from feagals

All I know is Deshaun Watson aint walking through that door. Big Game Canes can beat anybody in the land.

Everyone is beatable. For us, I think it's going to come down to the same thing we saw against Pitt. Clemson will stuff the run easily and force the usually-inaccurate Rosier to beat them downfield. We are going to have to chuck the ball around. If we hit on a few deep balls, we'll have a chance, IMO.

For those terrified of Clemson, VT has a better team defense

Maybe less talent than Clemson but BETTER derense and we did just fine

Underrated post.

Play with rage again and good Malik shows up we got a **** good chance.

Either way I am so stoked for this game. I want to enjoy every minute of it. This is the first thing we've played for since the 02 Fiesta Bowl.

I mean they had a once in a decade player in Watson, so yes, but they are going to be the best team we’ve played. They also have been in several championship games, they will be ready.

In order to beat them, we need to have communication along the OL be significantly better. Virginia and Pitt whipped us with twists and stunts. Clemson will do this, too, but they actually have talented players instead of overachieving converted OL.

On Defense, we absolutely need to have a plan for Renfrow on 3rd downs. We can get away with letting up a few 3rd and longs against some of the competition we’ve played, but you cannot against Clemson. They are very good at getting to 2 and 6 or better, so when you get them into a 3rd down situation it is your small window to get them off the field.

Lastly, STs, mainly punting. You cannot give them 3 or 4 short fields because of bad punts.

If we do those 3 things, we are in this game with a shot to win. If one of those 3 breaks down, it becomes a very tall task, if not impossible.
