Clemson did look lost out there on Defense last night...

...Perhaps this explains it? Apparently, OSU changed all their signs prior to last night's game.

The bigger problem is the ingame stealing with massive number of assistants...
maybe they need to ban all overt signals and have one signal caller/reciever in each side huddle via direct headphones...
...then penalize teams and coaches for violations, starting with unsportsmanlike penalties to eventual tossing out of games

This silly issue would disappear overnight if the NCAA would allow the QB and Defensive captain to wear headsets like they do in the Pros....

Why won't they implement that?

Cuz Emmert likes his retirement grea$e...

They certainly weren’t stealing defensive signs. Never saw TLaw under pressure to that degree in my life. They were in his kitchen all night.

Because then they'd have to admit that College Football isn't some wholesome, amateur sport, with charitable souls participating simply for the love of the game.

Looked lost because of OSU OL. When a QB has all day to find a receiver no defensive back field looks good

Venables likes to make last second adjustments. They were not lined up in time l several times during the game, and they paid for it. Clemson was out coached.
Yup. If you noticed the osu offense didn't get into their stance until right before the snap. Every time they did that, Clemson's D got gashed. Even the best coaches get outfoxed sometimes.

My folks that love The University of South Carolina have said this for years. This is all their grad assistances do during the week is match game film with sideline calls. During the game the figure out who is signaling in the call and relay it to Venables.

"Clemson University is offering opportunities for graduate students considering a career in athletic communications, with a focus on being a sport contact, to serve as graduate assistants within its Athletic Department. The students will be mentored by the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Director of New and Creative Media."

They call it Communications.
