First test…They will definitely put up some points against us, but will not be able to stop us.

 

I think it'll be a 40-20/38-17 type game. Maybe 35-21 even which will feel uncomfortable for a little but never really in doubt. There will be some busts in the secondary and also some big gains when plays break down.

We're missing 3 of our top 5 CBs, they have a dual threat QB, and we haven't really seen a lot of pressure from the DL yet. Excited to see how Heatherman adjusts.

Well if wake scores 20 we have things that need to be fixed prior to playing. A better qb and overall team is my point . Fix holes prior to playing a team who can beat you

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if they did or more. People look at stats and points but watching games there’s been a lot of missed plays by both teams. Holes all over zones , lack of pressure , missed tackles and drops by opponents . This is the game I’ve been waiting on to see if there’s reasons to be concerned with defense. Ezell is a good OC. We’ll score a lot more than them but the defense versus their offense intrigues me.

That was my thought before the season started, this would be a decent litmus test for the defense but with the top 3 (or top 2 and 1 of your top 5) CBs out for the game that could skew things. If there is miscommunication on the backend that leads to a blown coverage its going to be hard for me to be overly concerned when we should be getting our top 2 guys back sometime this year.

I worry we are taking Wake lightly. I ask you all this, What ACC team that we play is better than Wake???

I would say Duke is the only team that is 100% better.

Then who? Maybe FSU. Then it gets muddy. - NC, VaTech, Clemson probably is same tier.

Just saying. Don’t take a good showing by Wake as a such a defeat.
