Carrollton has a 120 yard Indoor Practice Facility with a weight room and Aux basketball gym also in there. They gonna remodel the IPF sometime in the near future too. It’s really impressive. Carrollton has two weight rooms. The baseball team have their own facility too with an indoor batting cage

Class of 2006 here. The baseball facility was built in 2003 (my soph year).

The entire campus has completely transformed the last 20 years. Unrecognizable.

I do have a soft spot for the old field house/weight room. Metal building that smelled like 40 years of rust and sweat. I really grew up in that weight room.

My sister was in the 03 class.

I told everyone that Miami is in CJ top group. And he is a huge fan of Mali’s. Reclassifying is on the table. He is taking summer classes but it will depend on how he looks this year at Carrollton from what I was told. But Carrollton is stacked on offense so I expect him to look really good

Yeah, a lot of people (outside of GA) are unaware of the funding differentials due to Georgia politics.

Carrollton is one of the "city" school districts that arose in some of the mid-sized Georgia cities (i.e., not Atlanta) and were designed to better fund "city" schools in otherwise rural counties.

What it means is that "Carroll County" schools and the county school board are SEPARATE from the Carrollton "city" schools and city school board. And for the "City" of Carrollton, that city school board runs a very small set of schools. Which I will show below in ONE map screenshot.

Simply stated, the Carrollton "city" taxes are able to be laser-focused on only ONE high school (and, sure, two elementary schools and one middle school, but they don't have football teams). On top of that, Carrollton High has had (for decades) its own very well-funded booster club.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Carroll COUNTY schools are (mostly) crap. By comparison, of course.

There was a good dude on RCT named Bryan from Carrolton, GA who always came to tailgates in NC...was always traveling to games with JayCane. Shared many a beer with those guys at Duke and UNC games in the Lito's tailgate era. Wonder if he's on this board.
