Dude's gonna be the next big coach. I think after the season and maybe next he will get some of these big job offers. Dude balled and boise state and did a good job turning Washington back around.

He's been offered huge jobs before & stayed at Boise. I believe his kid has a health issue and the climate in midwest is best for him. I don't think he goes anywhere.

This is correct. Basically he wasn't leaving the northwest. It was either Oregon or Washington if he left Boise.

Huh? Washington in midwest? **** did I miss an earthquake. Just joshin' you. Seattle great place for dry skin, excema, etc. Also a great town. Kicked myself for not accepting a transfer there years ago.

Said on a previous post - great game plan, play design and play calling.

Agree they looked good. I want to see them do it again next week @Oregon. Excluding the 1st/2nd year HBCs, Peterson, Shaw, Meyer, and Jimbo are the only coaches with >80% win percentages.

FYI, Richt is going for win 149 today. Sets up a nice #150 next week and could put him ahead of Dabo on the win % list if Clemson loses to UL.

He's already a big-time coach. I've always coveted him and wanted him coaching the canes but he is a pacific northwest guy. Now and always.

That's in NW and that climate sucks unless you like rain, fog and no sunshine. I'd imagine moving closer to where I am would be much better.

Chris Peterson is and has been one of the best coaches in college football for a few years. The best coaches do more with 3 stars than many supposedly better coaches do with loaded rosters ie Saban, Les, McTeeth, Malzahn etc.

Supposedly he turned down the USCw job in 2013 to stay at Boise. Although once UW opened up he took that job.

He seems to want to stay in the Northwest.

The thing I like about him is that he is not just a gimmicky coach. He mixes in the "gadget" type plays with old school smash mouth. Pragmatism with some flash when needed.
And his teams usually are technically defensively sound.

God I hope nobody mentions Mike Leach as a coach who does more with less.

With his 22-31 record, losses to FCS opponents in consecutive years, and coming one halfback pass in the snow away from losing to the remnants of Golden's staff, what's there not to like about Leach?

peterson should stay at UW. he has been a strong program in the past. he can rebuild it.

His son has brain cancer and he will only coach at places with specialists in town. Boise had one and Seattle has the best in the business, he is gonna bring UW back.

Washington looked great against a Stanford team that was beat up after a physical battle against UCLA. I was at the Washington/Arizona game last week, the Huskies just aren't that good. Arizona is limited as all ****, but U-Dub wasn't able to stop them. If you can't stop Brandon Dawkins, you won't be able to stop Josh Rosen , a player that can actually complete a forward pass. Peterson is a **** good coach, but he isn't leaving Washington. Why would he? Washington is an underrated job, it's a top 3 job in the Pac-12, and top 20 job overall. He isn't going to move to a place like LSU, he isn't interested in that lifestyle.
