CHRIS HERNDON

I've compared Herndon to Fred Baxter, former Dolphins killer.

Not saying he is Greg Olsen, but that's the last tight end we had who was capable of blocking as a fullback or catching a seam route.

Herndon and Njoku were the only two "evaluations" that Golden got right while he was here. However, as much as I like both of them, I'd gladly trade them for all the good kids that we didn't recruit.

I'm not sure Richt even offered him at UGA.
Folden might be a better evaluator than Rick.

I think Herndon may have been the only kid offered by Golden at one of his camps who turned out well.

I don't care where he offered him. Folden whipped Rick on Herndon. Horrible mistake by Rick.

And Richt whooped Golden on Sony...

Rather have a coach that can close the blue chip studs than one that can steal an under the radar prospect with upside. Golden was busy looking for diamonds in the rough cause he knew he couldn't close the elite sought after prospects

The difference between Njoku and Herndon is that one guy is a football player, the other is a machine that's still learning how to football.

I wouldn't necessarily give Golden a W on this.

I'd take the duo of Sony Michel and Isaiah McKenzie over Herndon any day.

With triceps like those, it's no wonder he's out there dominating.

Listening to Mark Richt interview post FAMU. He really raves about Herndon. He says there are times when you take a FB and put him at TE or split a TE out wide as a WR so on and so forth. He said rarely do you really have a guy that knows and can legitimately play multiple positions. He goes on to say Herndon knows all the plays at FB, TE, and WR. I believe Herndon is going to be a major weapon for us and will make himself a lot of money in the future. I know all the hype coming into the season was about Njoku but man I like his skill set. I love the sets of him and Njoku on the field at the same time. Very versatile and dangerous to other teams!

Have always liked his skill set since I saw him blow by Nigel Bethel when they playes BTW in high school and old Nigel was a track guy in high school a legit 4.4 kid..an d he walked right by him on a go route at about 215pds.

Always made the comparison of him and former dolphin Charles Clay now with the Bills.
