Listening to Mark Richt interview post FAMU. He really raves about Herndon. He says there are times when you take a FB and put him at TE or split a TE out wide as a WR so on and so forth. He said rarely do you really have a guy that knows and can legitimately play multiple positions. He goes on to say Herndon knows all the plays at FB, TE, and WR. I believe Herndon is going to be a major weapon for us and will make himself a lot of money in the future. I know all the hype coming into the season was about Njoku but man I like his skill set. I love the sets of him and Njoku on the field at the same time. Very versatile and dangerous to other teams!

If he blows up a couple blitzers protecting Kaaya while at FB, every QB in the NFL will want the guy. That would be real do it all type.

I don't think the value of not having to put our best stuff on tape can be overstated. Kaaya was delivering the ball so quickly over the middle. Florida State had all kinds of trouble with the tight end seam against Ole Miss, so I can't imagine having Herndon at fullback and Njoku at tight end with Kaaya firing lasers won't give them fits. I expect to see those guys running wide open against opponents all season long.

I've been on Herndon since he annihilated Nigel Patton. He's a big tough supreme athlete. He'll be killing it in the NFL very soon.

Quad Hill 2.0...possibly even more versatile.

Quad Hill is a rather interesting comparison. In terms of versatility I see what you are getting at but athletically it's not even close. Kind of like comparing Sean Taylor to Marcus Wimberly.

Najah ( **** in the closet ) Davenport was the best FB/RB/TE we had doing this..
Hill was good as well

LOOOVE this guy. Multifaceted, tough, athletic, great size, and smart. Everyone talks about Njoku (and he's great), but I think Herndon is the better player.

Njoku is the freak athlete. A rare tight end who can stretch the field. Herndon is the Swiss army knife. He does everything well. His versatility is what makes him dynamic. Both play the same position technically but they're completely different players. Except for the fact that they're both play makers.

A lot of folks thought he was a Golden special but I'll give kudos to Coley and Beard for his development.

And to think, Richt didn't pay him much attention when he was a prospect out of Norcross High School in the state of Georgia.
