Sarcasm is an art. And you missed a country mile, or in this case, a couple decades.

Sarcasm usually contains a bit of irony. If you said Saban was used up and is the same age as Butch, that would be ironic, especially as Saban is considered to be anything but used up.

You see the difference? Irony should be a component of sarcasm.

Maybe you just don't do sarcasm very well. Underdeveloped sense of humor, an inability to recognize irony when it's present and actually use it to further a sarcastic usage, a chemical imbalance, genetic deficiency - there's a number of reasons that some folks MEAN to be sarcastic, but it just doesn't work. Like a comic, and no one laughs.
