***** freshman dips his head has no clue how to run ; text book safe tackle form from defender and some clown here thinks it’s a missed call ... scrap it ! If a CIS genius can’t get it right what chance do biased refs have?

Pretty sure that's what Finebaum's geeky *** would look like if he put on regular shoulder pads
There is no way that an Alabama player is getting kicked out of the game for targeting! The rule is too subjective
We got screwed twice this year because of it
There was clear "targeting" in the Bama-Clemson game where the Bama defender should've been ejected (per the rule), and it wasn't even reviewed
There should be 2 tiers of the penalty, much like a flagrant foul in basketball
For reference, this wasn't reviewed:

Agreed. My consistent comment has been "do you know how hard it is to aim at someone in a live play?" It's nuts. Even at lower levels than what these guys play, GTFO if you tell me you can, in a 1 second moment, diagnose a square in, move toward it, and perfectly hit with your shoulder. All while a WR contorts and even ducks. I get legislating the extremely obvious spears, but a lot of these are guys trying to hit with their shoulders and ending up missing because things happened too quickly or someone moved.Game is way too fast for refs to get this right.
You nailed it. When WR (RB, etc) lower themselves to.protect themselves, the ball, or reach for extra yardage, there's no negative consequences for them, but there's almost zero chance for defensive player to change his trajectory at that point. I get protecting a "defenseless player," but the rest of it is BS. As mentioned by others, when Bandy, who I absolutely love, would fly around the field, I'd always cringe worrying about a flag/ejection. Hope this rule is changed.Agreed. Ha, yep. I was just posting the same thing. They definitely need to be able to review and waive the call if the collision is the result of the offensive player dipping his head at the last moment.
You said it better than I did, actually.Ha, yep. I was just posting the same thing.
Thanks. Even a blind squirrel gets an occasional nut.You said it better than I did, actually.

I saw that play live and couldn't believe they didn't call targeting on Alabama, especially when it was obvious and committed against a superstar player.
We got screwed in which two games? I recall getting hosed against LSU...which other game? Probably one of our many losses.
This is the turtle play with the options of IN or OUT......LMAO....you made my day.
