bursted onto the scene abusing a poor OT.

6 can do it all, but pass rushing is where he would bring the most value for us.

Agree, but it seems like some people are trying to put him in one slot and label him as pass rusher or OLB as if they're mutually exclusive. Thomas is a great pas rusher, but he is a LB, not DE. That doesn't mean he can't play DE at the college level. That just means that he is too versatile to be strictly there. On third downs, he should be rushing the passer. It doesn't matter whether he is rushing with his hand down, shading outside a OT, standing up blitzing off the edge, hitting the A gap, or coming on a delayed blitz. He can do all those htings and be a great pass rusher doing them. With that said, he is talented in other facets of the game also and will only get better. This is not a 3rd down specialist. Once adjusted to the college game, he needs to be on the field for every defensive snap. Playing the SAM responsibilities
