Chad Morris fired

Totally off-topic, but Leach might actually be a good fit for Arkansas. Just throwing some shlt on the wall about this position. Haven’t thought it through a whole lot, but it might really be interesting - shake things up in the SEC. I’m not saying he'd win his division or anything, but he’d probably upset some teams here and there. And he sure would **** off a lot of people

Problem is that programs that fire HCs after just 2 years are not normally desirable locations. Miami might hang on to bad coaches for too long, but it at least gives them 3 full classes.

yeah I see what you’re saying, but that guy had a horrific w-l record

True- but I don't think the coaching fraternity sees it that way. You might get some coordinator who wants to take a chance or a FBS HC to make the jump, but legit P5 coaches are usually going to steer clear as they will have better options.

I am not a Leach fan, but this is about the perfect spot for him. It seems he wants out of WSU and into the SEC. His offense works without high profile recruits, and he doesn't seem to care much about recruiting. He won't worry about defense and he'll just hope for shootouts. Arkansas will give him just enough to do what he does.

The overall problem is that Arkansas is just delusional. They really believe they should be national title contenders in pretty much all sports. Several of their boosters were convinced they were going to hire Bill Self away from Kansas in their last basketball search. Whoever they hire won't be good enough and will get canned in about 4 years because they will "fail" to bring a national championship back to Arkansas.

Its Arkansas anyway...I can’t think of a state in the union that I’d rather live less than Arkansas, maybe Alaska. I’m pretty adaptable but Arkansas has never appealed to me, I had a chance for a big promotion but I didn’t go for it...the thought of moving my family there was depressing. No offense to the people that live in Arkansas but I just couldn’t see myself living there - I’m sure there’s lots of people to feel that way about Florida.

No PIG SOOEY for me

Honestly wouldn't be a bad idea and could see something like that working out for them, but I feel like they have too much pride for it.

This is a career killer type job

That's exactly the kind of place for Leach. He will make them better, occasionally play a close game against the big boys, and when he beats Alcorn State 63-10, our board will want to hire him. He's not a coach you hire to win championships. He's the guy you hire to bring in a weird offense that will make a bad team a little more competitive.

Less than 2 full seasons

Where’s Luke screaming racism?

Manny is every bit as bad as Morriss, but will get 4 years at Miami.

Because that’s the Miami way with coRches. Unless the coRch has a recruiting cloud, in which case they get 5 years. Or part of a fifth year, anyway.

Meanwhile, other teams don’t even wait 2 years to pull the plug.
