CFP Ranking on now

You do realize this is all to create fabricated controversy, attention, and push hype for the upcoming Ohio St/Penn St game that will more than likely be on an ESPN affiliated network in primetime. It's all about money and the business (doesn't hurt college football as a whole with LSU/Bama this weekend either), Clemson will be in if they go undefeated it's not even in doubt.

Quoted for truth. The entire world, including the committee, knows that Clemson is easily in the playoffs if they win out.

Going to end up -

1. Ohio State
2. SEC Champion (LSU or Bama)
3. Clemson
4. This is where it gets tricky....
  • Bama or LSUs only loss is to each other
  • Penn State has 1 loss to Ohio State
  • Oregon 1 Loss to Auburn or Utah 1 Loss to USC
  • Oklahoma has 1 loss to K-State
In this scenario I bet Bama or LSU get in. So root for LSU to beat Bama and Auburn to beat Bama

IMO they should expand to a 8 team playoff and start a week earlier

1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Bama
5. Penn State
6. Oregon
7. Oklahoma
8. Memphis

I say it should be 6...top 2 get a bye. Room for all 5 conferences with 1 at large, guarantee conf champs if you want to, and guarantee the at large to G5 only if that team is ranked top 15 or something like that.

Ugh, I hate that proposal every time someone brings it up. There's no way I want to see an 8-5 conference champ in the playoffs.

Yeah I agree. I wouldn't make conf champs automatic personally, but I don't hate it. Money would prob decide that though if playoffs get expanded regardless, when there is room for all they will all want a spot.

Yeah, each conference is probably going to demand a guaranteed spot.

Yikes at the defending national champ being snubbed while being again undefeated

Just because the conference blows this year doesn’t mean they do...

Too much thinking and over analyzing

Definitely has to do with schedule. PSU at least has faced a couple of ranked teams while Clemson has faced none. But both nearly got beat by middling Coastal teams. Still think Clemson should get benefit of doubt.

As long as we are in the ACC, it is in the best interest of Miami for the ACC to be represented in the playoffs every year. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

We can just agree to disagree. It's all good.

I dont give a rip about the ACC, they dont give a rip about us and ***** us every chance they get.
Exactly...do some on here really want to see two SEC schools in the playoffs? I would rather see Clemson than two SEC schools and especially OSU.

Bottom of the line... who has produced national champions in their conference??

its the SEC and ACC

BIG 12 hasnt since 06
Pac 12 since 04 with USC?
Big 10 since 2014?

I don’t like Baylor and Minnesota being so far down the line. They should at least take the place of the two loss teams.

Top 10

Think Min gets Penn St and Wisc at home. Quietly having a **** good season. Fleck must be a good coach. This is his second head coaching job. Built Weatern Mich to a new years 6 day bowl. Took this job and building them into a contender in big 10
