The Notre Dame win proved the ceiling has been raised and rightfully so. Mario has won 3 of the 4 big non conference games (Texas A&M, Florida, Notre Dame) in the first two weeks of the season. While the "big wins" are exciting they've been followed up with head scratching play and losses. Now that we've proven we can win at a high ceiling the true test of the season now begins by seeing if the floor can be raised as well.
Couldn't think of a more perfect stretch to find out what we are truly made of than the state of Florida swing. USF a hot team that is finicky with inferior talent that Vegas clearly thinks we should handle. A reeling Florida is next where talent is closer to being equated than gapped but a team with coaching that should be taken advantage of. Florida State went from being an easy win to all of a sudden a tough game with a lot more riding on it being a conference game and first road game. If we want to emerge as actually the best team in the state, we have to show separation on the field and not trip up or look poor against teams/coaches we like make fun of constantly.
