I can not think of any other team people claim to be great having won the NC with A Larry Coker as coach. Think of the worse coach other than Larry to have ever won a NC in the last 50 years. Les Miles? Mack Brown? The dude that coached BYU to it one title? Or Clemson’s first title coach? Lucky to not play our team Stoops? Most of the great teams had not just great coaches but ledendary coaches. The rest has very successful HCs.

Forgetting the fact that our bench was better than any other team except our starters(some might argue they were better than even them), they crushed everyone with Larry frigging Coker as HC. Coker was a decent HC but Ask yourself if Larry could have won a title with the best of the Bama teams under Saban? How about last year’s Clemson team?

I imagine what Howard would have done with the 2001 team? ****, he might have been able to beat his 73 undefeated Dolphins.

Ken Dorsey is not a historic QB? 38-2, one NC, should have 2 (2002) and could have had a chance at 3 (2000). Yes, he had great talent around him but so does every QB that won NCs.

Skip Bayless can go eat a bag of Dallas dyks. Meyer’s Ohio State’s NC team was good, but show me the NFL roster talent. Elliot is a stud RB but I think a heathy Gore and MacGhee are better. Portis tore up the NFL his first seasons. Those three have combined for nearly 30,000 career yards.

The Canes roll to 3-4 NCs if Butch stays or if his replacement been by a top HC instead of Clappy.

No debate.

Should have 3 titles, and ended his career 38-1, legit.

Any team coached by Larry Coker is not the greatest of all time. They couldn't score an offensive touchdown against Boston College. They were lucky to beat Virginia Tech due to a dropped 2-point conversion by Wilford. They also played a weak Big East schedule and 0 top 10 teams. Even their opponent in the Rose Bowl (Nebraska) was a joke and got trounced by Colorado in the Big 12 Championship Game. Conversely, 1995 Nebraska crushed all of their opponents. They beat 3 top 10 teams. Miami beat zero.

How many future NFL stars did that Nebraska team have?

So are you therefore implying that the 2001 Canes would NOT have been able to beat 3 top 10 teams?
