Walton picked up like 50 yards on 2 plays out the I formation. Then miraculously we line back up in the shotgun and proceed to lose yards in the running game.
Defense is still the bigger problem.
And, somehow, Malik Rosier played very well.
Coley can find and coach QBs. He did a good job getting Rozier to play at a high level in a week. I would keep Coley as QB coach and recruiter.

The offense is just as big a problem when you consider the talent he's had to work with since he started here and just how much his units have underachieved, especially against the better opponents.
Coley is the offensive version of D'Onfrio. Period. They are both walking abominations in regards to what they do for a living.

Really? Cmon now. He recruits **** of a lot better than DOnfrio. If not for Coley there's no Kaaya and Yearby would be at USF.
Coley has utilized his playmakers pretty well IMO while DOnfrio just keeps Chad Thomas and Quan back etc.
Coley was dealt Rosier this game and called a good game for Rosier to succeed scoring 24 points. This would have been the perfect excuse for Coley to stink it up vs. a ranked Duke defense and a redshirt freshman QB in his first start on the road WITH all of the distractions this week.
Just my opinion...Should Coley go at the end of the season? Yes if our HC can bring in a qualified OC but if not, I'd be find with him having an extra year (especially with Kaaya since Kaaya may be gone after his Junior year to NFL). Also can add the rumors how Golden "controlled" Coley's play calling..
Just played a top 20 D with a backup qb in his first start and did well. I thought Coley called a good game until the last drive when we just kinda gave it back to them without attempting to get a first down.

Duke has a good defense but ok broEven against a ****ty defense like this...Coley wets the bed when it matters the most.
He's the biggest piece of **** OC we've ever had...and that's saying quite a bit considering Patrick Nix once coached here.
I'll repeat, if he's retained I'm done with this program.
