If one of our players needs a uniform to get pumped for this game they need to be off the team pronto.leave the all black uni's to the small schools looking for exposure. a game like this should always be our orange tops and white pants. its classic
So you're saying the players hate it? They just want the classic look? Perhaps its time you and some others think beyond the skull that encapsulates your brain. The man in charge, obviously doesn't have a problem with the uniform or we wouldn't be wearing them. There's gotta be a reason for it ya think?
Personally, I think anything that detracts from your standard operating procedure should be shut down. Bama wears the same old tired uniforms, they are very business like in how they prepare for games. No gimmicks, no bull****. I like that. Saban believes in routine, his routines win championships.
Did anyone ever say they needed it to get fired up?
Did you ever play a sport? If so, do you not remember the excitement of getting a new uniform? Even if they were basically the same as the previous year, they were new and a bit different? I played on travel teams, some uniforms I didn't like, but it didn't affect my play.
As for SOP, it doesn't seem to be an issue for every team in the land basically. If it were a distraction, then teams wouldn't be doing it.
You want to keep it the same, then Penn State must've been your team back in the day. Admittedly, I liked that their lack of names and same uniforms were part of their identity. That's just the old school in me.
Last thing, I do believe in tradition. I don't care for a lot of the bastardization of many teams uniforms. Case in point, OSU this past weekend was unidentifiable. If you were flipping through the channels, you wouldn't have known it was them just by looking. I also cannot stand how some schools colors have apparently changed. The shade of color that is. Whatever, just my thoughts and feel free to disagree.
