Canes-Pitt Video

I liked this video... manny hates the loses as much as anyone and doing what he can to create those unity bonds within the team... we have been close, and have had miscues cost us games... love his chain talk about being 1 link and doing your job- be tough and connected and do your Job! Sometimes it seemed like JT4 not engaged or trying to do it all, which makes him drop routine catches trying do too much. Same with the guys on D early on- trying to do too much and get out of position instead of trusting your guys and doing your job. That’s what Diaz went to address the last 2 weeks with the D...

FSU has momentum so it will be interesting to see if canes keep that chain/family/ unit mindset when adversity strikes. Because it will be easy to resort to bad habits and break the chain when a huge momentum play happens... hoping Diaz has them committed to each other and they find the way to make the plays in the 4th to win

I do like that the two qbs got love for each other no matter who’s playing. I would be ok with this season if we had an elite class coming in but we don’t so can’t wait for the next staff to see who we hire in three years.

This attitude is really weak minded. If you're going to just wait for an elite class and a new coaching staff then you're going to be waiting a really long time. We could hire the reincarnation of Shula, Lombardi, and Jimmy J and we aren't going to be landing elite classes w/o showing improvement on the field.

The reality is that we are an inexperienced team and just need to take the 4* guys we CAN/DO get and build a culture/foundation of winning ... then we can start to pick off some of the "elite" guys you are always referring to.

Find a way to win a few more games this season and the future is looking bright.

The defense should be nasty next year if we get any production from Brooks .... basically only losing T Hill, Bethel, Pinckney, and Shaq from the top 22 and have all the redshirting freshmen able to contribute as well.

On offense, if the line can improve we will be more than fine there as well. JW should be solid at QB and RB with Cam, Lo, Chaney is more than good. Hopefully Mallory takes a step forward the next few games to join Brevin as elite TEs and the WR core has talent and will be just fine.

Punting is on lock and placekicking will be corrected.

Then we will never be elite, to be elite u have to have elite classes that’s been proven for 15 years straight. Show me a team with back to back to back under the radar classes that’s won a national championship.
Edit: if Chaney wasn’t coming this class would be a total disaster, it’s already a failed class with too many projects and 4-5 prospects that are good. And with this staffs history this year guys are regressing under them and they play uninspiring football.

Watch I guarantee in two to three years (if they last that long) the roster will be very unbalanced and less overall talent then now. The 20 and 21 classes will be full of decommitts and those decommitts will be the best prospects In Those classes.
What we want as fans is a dominant UM but the route to get to it is through elite recruiting. For some reason a lot of fans in this fan base think a x and o guy will make us elite, but these very fans forget every route we have taken to become dominant has always been out athleting the other guy across you. So this imaginary route of getting a genius will not bring UM back, and if we continually hire guys who can’t go up against the sec we will continue to be who we are.......a joke an old power that’s done.

You clearly haven't been a fan through the two previous rebuilds to dynasty .... We rarely ever get the "elite" guys until things are rolling. If your expectation is we need elite recruits to win then go be a fan of another team. We are above the magical 50% blue chip level of elite teams now and the 3 and 4 star guys on this team are more than good enough (other than the OL).

As for your question, Clemson turned into a monster using the exact model I described. They only turned the corner once they had D Watson. Other than DL and Watkins/Hopkins at WR they've put fewer guys in the NFL at every other position than UM.

Oklahoma wins with talent at QB and OL and a bunch of nothing at every other position ... especially the D.

Your vision is clouded by Bama and OSU (and UGA more recently) b/c nobody else can win by overwhelming the other team with talent.
