Sooo...

Just figured this out...

Our current OL commit, Rhys Woodrow, is the son of Orlando "royalty"...

Rhys's mom, Shannon is the third-generation owner of BEEFY KING, the legendary Orlando roast beef sandwich restaurant on Bumby.

Would be great to have the Miami faithful stop by Beefy King, wearing the colors, and congratulating the Beefy King family on joining the Miami family.

And we might have to work in "Beefy King" as a nickname for Rhys...

One of the best lunch spots in Orlando. I go by there a couple times a month…my office is near by. Definitely wearing my gear in there now.

Haven't been in a while as I'm on the Winter Garden side now but will stop by soon reppin the Canes!

Where at? I live right next to West Orange HS.

Only been here about 18 months and never been to this spot but I'm with you, that's a hike for lunch from over here with the traffic. Gotta be 30 mins I'd think.

ehhhhhh.

go check out stasios

Two different things, though.

If those are my only two choices, I pick Stasio's 9 out of 10 times.

But Beefy King is a comfortable pair of shoes I've had for my entire life. I love going there.

Let's also give some love to Se7en Bites, Gringos Locos, Bad As's Sandwich Shop, Smoke & Donuts, Il Pescatore, Swine & Sons, and Primrose Lanes, all of which are within a few-block radius.

All the dudes who live 30 minutes from downtown O-Town, make a weekend of it, and hit the places I just listed. All very good.

I used to love that place back in the 90's! Back then I lived on Kaley one house away from Ferncreek right across the street from Boone High. One of my younger sisters went there. She was friends with Stacy Mack of Temple/Jacksonville Jaguars fame. I haven't been to Beefy King for close to 30 years but those are great memories and I would love to swing by and welcome the Woodrow family to the U family! I'll try to swing by next week.
